I guess I don’t have to wait any longer for my ship to come in! I got this metal ship at a garage sale this month. Someone had given up on their upcycling idea since it was half painted white. I liked the white parts and think they were on the right track!

I have been dreaming up ideas and have the goal to make 24 wreaths from the case of wreath forms I got at Dollar Tree. I am trying to think out of the box to make wreaths I have never seen before. It is so fun to play with them! This will be NUMBER FOUR in my Wreathapalooza.
My first plan didn’t work out. I planned to have the ship in a circle of white shells that I would paint blue. The shells didn’t let the ship settle into the well of the wreath. Plan B happened when I went to Michael’s and found this 3 yard spool of navy burlap. I covered the wreath in blue tape and then wrapped the burlap around the wreath.
I covered 300lb watercolor paper using one of the Caspari Napkin shell designs and cut them out, overlapped them and secured them to the wreath.
I sure am having fun finding new uses for the napkins! I have ordered 2 more packages and a local store is going to keep them in stock. YAY!
So my Ship Upcycle is officially Number Four in my Wreathapalooza inventory:

I’m glad there are people in this world that can do that! I happen to not be one of them!
