I hoard packaging plastic! It is so fun to have free craft materials so when I had to make another driftwood chandelier for Sunrose Gallery, I saved the packaging material and punched out two 2.2.5″ pieces for these earrings.

I had been wanting to make the earrings ever since I found the website COWBELL CROSS STITCH who was offering a free printable mandala:
Click and Print:
The free printable was intended for cross stitch, but I resized it 2.25″ for my punch size. If you click and print it will be that size.
After punching out the plastic, clean it with vinegar to remove all oily residue.
Cover the paper mandala with ModPodge and place the plastic piece on top smoothing so there are no air bubbles.
I set aside until the mandalas until the Mod Podge was completely dry, then I covered the back with two coats of fast dry yellow findgernail polish. After the polish was completely dry I punched tiny holes in the top and bottom and used my favorite jewelry findings to embellish it.
I used two sizes of copper balls, two seed beads and a pretty glass turquoise bead for each earring.

Ta Dah! Aren’t these cute earrings? They are sassy and fun and came from free packaging material.
You sure are innovative Patty!
