How Great Is Our God

I was inspired to make this little mixed media because I heard a sermon by a man who had a vision that the West Coast of America was going to be singing this song. I believe America is poised to have an awakening of God like there was back in the 60’s and 70’s.

Back then it was the Charismatic Movement and the Jesus People. You couldn’t point to a person who started it, because it was a God thing. It sprung up in Ballard, Washington, Eugene, Oregon and the Bay Area in California to name a few places.

I am thrilled to say I got to be an eye witness to what happened in Ballard. It happened at an Episcopal Church where Dennis Bennett was the pastor. He wrote the book 9 O’clock In the Morning where he told of his encounter with the Holy Spirit. Hundreds of young “Jesus People” crammed into the church on weeknights and I got to go to one of those meetings where the air was electric!

These are exciting times and it is going to be so wonderful to see God miraculously move again in our country! When I heard the preacher say he saw throngs of folks in California, Oregon and Washington sing “How Great is Our God” I wanted to say a tangible “amen” so I had to make this piece of art as a testimony!

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).
