This little delft dish is the last of my recent garage sale report makeover! Believe it or not, tourists wander into Sunrose Gallery here in Seaside, Oregon and purchase little souvenir assemblages like this. Especially if it’s a girl’s weekend trip.
The last of the makeovers!
My favorite Etsy shop for whimsical digital downloads is LisasalteredArt. I can’t tell you how many digital images I have bought from her, each one brings a smile to my face.
Step One: cover the bottom of the dish with some pretty scrapbook paper to cover the base of a wire that will hold the sail.
I am a compulsive saver of pretty paper. I got a book for Christmas and saved the cardstock paper jacket which made the perfect boat bottom.
Step Two: Use map paper to cut a sail and attach it to the wire, then decorate it with swirls.
Step Three: Cut out each girl and decorate her crown. Use glue to attach them to the sail.
Step Four: Print out “Girl’s Weekend” and attach with glue to the top.
Here is what I made from my last Garage Sale collection.
Garage Sale Makeover Finale:
Whimsical Wind Chime
Frog Assemblage
Mother’s Day Trophy
Frog Plaque
Caspari Napkin Makeover
Girl’s Weekend Assemblage
Love this, all of your remakes came out great. Happy hunting for more cool projects.
