Premeditated Cha-Ching!

After I finished this 10x 10 mixed media canvas piece I showed it to my husband.  “That’s gonna sell,” he stated….”I know!” was my quick reply.  Cat lovers buy art and I sure do appreciate them!  So this was art made with Cha-Ching in mind….LOL.

The clip art image of the cat was too realistic, so I put it in my photo software that changes things to be an “oil painting”.  The background paper  was a calendar page from a Dollar Store calendar!  Hint:  I use rubber cement when covering a gallery wrapped canvas with scrapbooking paper.  It adheres leaving a completely flat surface.

Step One:  Assemble old junk jewelry, a 10 x 10 gallery wrapped canvas, your cat image, and some scrapbook paper for the background.

I really like gallery wrapped canvas because it leaves the edge decorated, but also clean and neat!

This piece has already made it’s way to Sunrose Gallery here in Seaside, Oregon, it will be fun to see how long before it goes out the door!
