Merry Christmas! Jesus Gave Us The Best Gift of All!

I purchased this little shrine made by Zemula Fleming at Sunrose Gallery last August. It is a precious remembrance of Jesus who came to earth and Mary (who must have been so special to be chosen to be His mother.)

When I read Romans 5:12 the other day I read it in the light of what the world has experienced in 2020, a terrible pandemic that has spread it’s tenacles over the world. We watched it horror as new cases jumped from country to country until the whole world was affected.

“When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” (NLT)

“SPREAD TO EVERYONE!”   It was a sin pandemic!

The Bible tells us that Jesus came to earth solely for the purpose to be the cure for the sin pandemic.  Romans 6:23 says:

“For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Net Bible)

Most of us give and receive gifts at Christmas, and I would like to  remind everyone about the gift that God gave.  In exchange for our sins, God offered us eternal salvation by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to earth as our Savior. All we can do in return is accept the gift…..salvation from the sin pandemic which we all are infected from birth.

There are many people who aren’t interested in receiving God’s gift of salvation because it is free and they think it makes more sense to work hard to earn their way to eternal rewards.  Also, not everyone realizes they are infected with sin because they try their hardest to be a “good person”.   I am SO GLAD I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt when I was 10 years old that I was a sinner and with tears I asked God to forgive me of my sins and accepted Jesus as my Savior!  YAY!

God has given us the gift of salvation, but we must accept it by reaching out and inviting Him to come into our lives. If you have never done so, accept God’s Christmas gift to you by turning to Jesus and asking Him to come into your life.

Here is a prayer if you want to receive your free gift of salvation:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen

Merry Christmas!

Thank you Jesus for your gift of salvation!
